We book all appointments via email, in order to keep all information/references etc in one easily accessible place.
Information we need:
The artist your request is for
A brief description of your idea with any elements you definitely do and do NOT want included and your preference for black or colour.
Any reference images you have you’d like your artist to see
Placement photos of the space on your body where you’d like the tattoo, photos taken by someone else are best to ensure a clear straight-on angle of the placement.
Typically we prefer our clients to give us their idea and let us create our interpretation of it. If there’s anything specific you would like included, please let us know in your initial email as a lot of time and planning goes into the designs. We can only tattoo designs we have created ourselves.
Each artist has varying availability, you may be able to get an appointment the same week, or the waitlist may be several months - we can advise you on the wait time once we receive your request.
When appointments are made, the idea has been agreed to by both client and artist. If any changes are made, your artist will need to review your new idea and make sure it’s something they desire to do.
As our artists take on very specific work most suited to their unique styles, not every concept will work. Please be sure of your ideas and elements you’d like included. Any changes can not be guaranteed.

When we design a tattoo, each element is carefully considered and we will place and design these how they best fit for the tattoo on the body, as this is integral to the overall structure of the tattoo. Many hours go into each design, so it’s important to give us all of the information we require and be specific about anything you definitely DO and DO NOT want. It’s always appreciated when we are granted some creative freedom to bring your idea to life.
Everything about your finished design is intentional.
We understand there are some things that you may really love to include or leave out and these are always taken into consideration so please include these in your request. We always want to create an awesome design that you love!

Typically, we will gather all the we information we require from the client, a description of their idea, any reference they would like the artist to be inspired by, placement photos and any elements they definitely do and do not want included.
Work on designs usually doesn’t happen until just prior to the booked appointment. This is an industry standard.
Unfortunately workload and time constraints don't allow for these to be done any faster. In saying that, a lot of time, planning and work is put into each design with each element carefully considered, and the artist will place and design these how they best fit for the tattoo on the body, as this is integral to the overall structure of the tattoo. Everything about the finished design is intentional.
Usually the design will be sent through to the client the night before the appointment, any small changes can be made without too much issue, with larger pieces an allowance is made for a bit more back and forth.
Because of this design process, it's vital that our clients give us all of the information we ask for and are sure of their ideas and elements they want included. It's also important we are granted creative freedom with each idea to create the best possible, individual and unique piece.
We greatly appreciate this responsibility.

We can tattoo over most scars. We typically need scarring to be at least 3 years old. We sometimes require an in-person consult, to see what can be achieved. If your scarring is light and flat to the touch it may not require an in person consultation.
Please send photos with your booking request so we are able to advise you.

We will only tattoo cover ups with previous laser lightening or if we feel we can achieve the same desired result without it.
Laser lightening gives us more scope on creating a beautiful piece you actually want rather than being limited by what you already have.
We will need photos in your email of your existing cover up.
For any laser removal/lightening, we highly recommend our friends at Sacred Laser, based both in Auckland and Christchurch - www.sacredlaser.co.nz
We do not finish off any other tattooers work or add on to their existing pieces.
-
As we are a small studio, we are unable to accomodate for extra people, however your support person is more than welcome to come in and out during your appointment.
If you’re feeling nervous, please let our friendly team know, we will take care of you!
-
Anyone under 18 years of age.
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
Anyone intoxicated or under the influence of any substance.
To ensure the health and safety of our staff and fellow clients, our artists have the right to refuse to tattoo you if there is an obvious risk to either yourself or others.

We use a range of inks in our studio, the main brands used are Eternal, Dynamic, and Fusion - these are widely regarded as some of the most reputable brands in the industry, all of which are of the highest quality possible and go through rigorous testing and quality controls before coming to market and are used by tattoo artists worldwide. All of the tattoo inks we use are certified sterile, routinely tested for contaminants and developed in controlled environments by trained professionals.
Although incredibly rare - allergic reactions can happen, most commonly with red pigments - more information can be found online regarding this. If you have a known issue with red ink please inform us prior to your appointment.
We do everything we possibly can to avoid any allergic reactions and always discuss any potential allergies with clients beforehand (this is part of our client consent form process). We will only use the highest quality and sterile inks, consumable products ie; needles and uphold a strict hygiene policy and rigorous sterilisation procedures. Again, reactions are rare but everyone’s body and skin is different.
If you have any known allergies please notify us and/or your artist specifically. We are happy to discuss any queries with you and can direct you to specific ink safety data if you’d like to view.
